where were you when the light got defeated
The reason I haven't posted anything about Anj is that I'm starting to think there are some words I can't say. Plus, I keep walking around having a normal time -

(Bertie Ahern resigned, finally, the fuckhead
I poked myself in the eye with a Q tip and burst a blood vessel; it looks seriously, seriously creepy
I listened to all of Pretty. Odd. three times while writing out the most insanely tedious history of deep vein thrombosis in the entire universe, and fell in love [is Ryan Ross singing on some of it? I have to tell you: he's my favourite])

- and then it'll hit me for a second: someone I know is dead.

We weren't close or anything, but there was some mutual fic admiration going on, and I remember being awed by what an inspiration she was to her students. I can't think about this properly, sorry.

i didn't know anj. i see so many people hurting but feel a little hypocritical saying anything about it. i'm sorry for your loss, though.

re pretty.odd.
ryan is singing! bless him. his intonation has definitely improved, yes?

i actually prefer him singing on the more stripped down b-side version of 'behind the sea'. the first time i heard it i actually went a little heart-clenchy. bless.

(and spencer smith is definitely my favourite :~). i'm creepier than i realised)

It's fifty percent hypocritical of me, too, because we weren't BFF or anything; but it's still a bloody tragic waste.

I actually think his voice is hotter than Brendon's. Maybe just because he's hotter than Brendon, though. (OOPS BUT THEY DON'T WANT TO BE ADMIRED FOR THEIR LOOKS RITE)

Huh, I got no B-sides. I wanted the extended version thing but do you think they sell it here? (No.)

*is smug for being born in 1986, too*

hmmmm... brendon's voice is quirky but his range and musicality are really very cool. i don't actually think ryan could carry a 'bigger' song. but it's a very 'revealing' voice. hearing him sing and the timbre is the same as his speaking voice. hence the heart clenches.

i got the b-sides from someone's sendspace. i wish i knew how to send them back. maybe i could email it to you as an attachment? it's completely adorable. for real.

*is really very much older than you*

Oh yes, and he's definitely a frontman. And maybe possibly completely insane, too, which helps. I think Ryan just has this 'I need a hug' voice, poor babe.

You could try? I know very little about that myself, lame. offwhitetower@gmail, anyway.

Age doesn't mean much on the net. :D

i think they're fairly big files and take a while to download. but i've done it before. i'll give it a go.

and yeah - i have good true friends of all ages online. :~)

Perfectly, thank you so much!

... I'm kind of in love with the way Ryan sings the word 'daughters'...

hurrah! so glad it worked. i feel so competent!!!

and yes. ryan's voice in that entire thing. *nods* way more open than he ever is in an interview.

You are a MODEL of competency, honest.

Hee, I'm a bit skeered of watching interviews. I saw snatches of ones with MCR and FOB and they kind of dashed my mental images of them. However, I did see Spencer and Ryan present some NME slideshow of their favourite vids, and my brother was like, "The guy in the waistcoat so fancies the other one." (Out of the mouths of babes...)

heeee.

my mental image of them is almost completely made up of their extreme 'dorkiness' (not a word i use a lot, but i couldn't think of an alternative). i adore them all. the interviews all support this.

ftr that potato icon down there - just makes me think of gerard. :~)

They're boy boys!

That is so something he'd say, encapsulates his ethos. He's all about inner beauty, right? Which is fine if you're as pretty as him...
