long live the carcrash hearts!
I CAN HAS FOB TICKETS. HO YEAH.

I shall have to take the Tube. Also a plane. Not to mention this makes me a huge hypocrite, because I spent the better part of my life deriding the very idea of live shows - when you could have the music as often as you liked at home, in comfort, without masses of strangers on every side? Pah.

And now - despite the inevitable wodge of tweenie, pseudo-sad, black-wearing kids - I am so excited. (Also, I'm the same age as 3/4 of the band ... so there.)

The show's in October: term time. I will undoubtedly have an exam scheduled THAT DAY.* So this constitutes the most reckless thing I have ever done. MY LIFE, HOW SO LAME?

* but if my bff can get an oral rescheduled because she was having a weekend away with her boyfriend in paris, so can i! not worried. yet.

It's not even the bandom thing, it's like: Fall Out Boy! Singing! Right there! Joe might TWIRL!

I don't know, seriously.

seeing live concerts is Completely Different to listening in your lounge! just like watching a film at the cinema can be a different thing to seeing it on tv.

some music/films it's not that important. but some it is a whole Other Thing and it's wonderful!!!

also, i could be the mother of half the audience (AGE WISE!) and i'd still be there in a shot!

also no.2 i read that as your friend had gone to have oral with her boyfriend and i was rather surprised at the disclosure. and then i realise... *blush*

I think, whatever else, that this'll be a pretty awesome gig. I'm also gonna keep my eye out for when Panic are coming back to Europe - because hell, if I keep waiting for these bands to come to me they'll break up before I see them. >D

Hopefully some of the people sitting near me will be more your age than teenage ... I wouldn't mind having a rational conversation. If that's even possible because JOE TROHMAN, OH MY GOD.

I'm pretty sure that was involved - she's fearfully keen to discuss her lovelife - but I hate her boyfriend, so I REALLY don't want to know.

JOE TROHMAN. ugh in person who knows if i'd turn into a flaily flaily thing, even if that's never actually happened thus far.

(also frets about typo. *realiseD )

OH JOE. I just saw whirling dervishes on tv - a programme about Turkey - and was very sad when I realised that doesn't describe him AT ALL. He's way more fast and energetic. Go team Joe!

Meh, I didn't even see it. ;D

adjalkjdlklaj OMG YOU'RE SEEING FOB *SO JEALOUS*

(well, if it helps, i'd be the only one who's not going to be dressed to the nines as an emo at the pard thing? unless i get talked into it by my friend)

I think FOB fans are more likely to be emo than PATD? That's just my impression. I'm kind of worried because my wardrobe consists of two things: pinstripe for work on one side and miniskirts and pink tights on the other. Both are completely wrong. And I reckon it won't care because, I'll say it again, JOE. TROHMAN.

god, i'm so jealous now. but see, if you lived here in the states you'd live more recklessly and go to vans warped tour, where they have not only FOB, but other totally awesome bands. all in one place for very cheap.

Just dropping a comment randomly to say that I'm so looking forward to this! Just bought tickets for TAI and Cobra Starship in September, so am hoping Fall Out Boy won't sell out till I get paid next week. :D

Fingers crossed! I know the standing seats for Wembley sold out while I was buying the seated ones. Craziness. :D They're like L'oreal, I suppose.

I'm not super into FOB or anything, but that is still really, really neat! No one in my house is actually super into them, but we always end up talking about them in this house. And their songs are probably most played on Rock Band. There may yet be a home full of bandomers in blossom.

Also, yes, it is ridiculously easy to get an exam rescheduled. Especially if you're going to take it early. What can they do, you know?

It's like a sickness, and the only cure is ... more sickness?

I'm always surprised that people have even heard of them - Ireland isn't the most culturally savvy place. Although, are FOB culturally savvy either? Who knows? Who cares?

I'd totally be up for taking it early.

Your icon wins at life, btw. :D
