Before I go

Well, I've decided to be a good little (lapsed) Catholic and bugger off for a few days to participate in the birth of their Lord. Which, in my world, breaks down to:

- sitting on my bed reading and eating far too much chocolate.

- going on a writing binge the like of which has not been seen since the week before my exams, when I wrote fifty-odd pages of a Hermione/Nott fic which will probably never see the light of day. (As I recall, my other pre-exam preparations consisted of dancing madly to Blink 182 for hours - in particular, 'I Miss You' and 'Feeling This'. And they have more dance-y songs than that. Go figure.) I have discovered that my time of greatest productivity is two in the morning (and more so if I have a craving for breadrolls).

- working out on the gym. My love handles deserve some serious work-out hate.

I'll probably be able to stick it out in the bog of self-induced Internetlessness till oh, call it Stephen's Night? If I survive the tedium of Christmas day at Bernie's, with my aunts all cooing over my cousins and looking down their fat noses at me in barely-disguised scorn. Not to mention that old battle-axe, Great-Aunt Ellen, treating me as a waitress for her freakin' brandy. Ah, can you feel the love?

So until then, mes amies et mes amis, I bid you adieu, and of course:

HAPPY HOGSWATCH!!!

I'd do sparkly things  but alas and woe, I can't even link properly.

Still don't know what Hogswatch is, and really really don't know when Stephen's Night is. Ah well. As to your Christian festivities, I say;
-yay!
-double yay! (so long as it's not Hermione/Nott. eh. where did you even get that idea from?)
-noooooo! don't do it! *sobs* Gyms are only good for their steam rooms and pools and saunas and so on.

Aunts are fun. But then I don't have to see them at all, it's only my family proper here at Christmas. But, there are six of us. So it's as social as is needs to be, methinks. Maybe next time your Great-Aunt Ellen starts 'treating you as a waitress for her freakin' brandy', you should wear a French maid outfit. Then pour her brandy down her top, explaining that you are a festive bunny.

or you could not.

Hogswatch, m'dear! I have another to convert to the genius that is Terry Pratchett...'Hogfather', to be exact. xD Stephen's Night is the night of St Stephen's Day, which is Boxing Day to people in other, saner parts of the world.

Hermione/Nott is quite pertinent, I felt...but that could have been study overload.

That is an EXCELLENT IDEA!!!

nooo! where did my comment go? pfffbt, your LJ has a vendetta against me.

I didn't think that Hogswatch was real. You can put your conversion tongs away, because I'm already a well stocked TP lover, but I thought Hogswatch was an ironic made up thingy. *hits self over head with printer* Now I am stupid.

NO. Just... NO.

yes. am full of them. But, maybe instead you could find some old socks and use them as a brandy strainer? Like a tea strainer, but for brandy. Because then you would a) have fun straining brandy, b) stop waitressing duty, c) shock some people, d) be the inventor of the first (probably) old sock brandy strainer, and e) eh... spread the Christmas spirit by way of spoiling rubbish old sock present. Assuming people give you old socks.

It is real and it isn't. Ie it's as real as anything in a book is. But Christmas is in a book and people celebrate THAT, so I'm going for Hogswatch!!

You have some very cool ideas. That are scary. But cool. And no, didn't get any socks, so I couldn't. If I had I might have tried.

You're a stronger woman than I.

The things people do for religion. Feelin' pretty good about my personalized version of agnosticism right about now. Good luck with fat noses and battle-axes and brandy! There will be pictures and possibly a Sirius scene when you return!

That kind of struck me as funny! I did beg off the net for the Pope, it was out of purely selfish motives. The whole idea of denial making something even cooler when you get it back?

...which, come to think of it, is Catholic to the core.

Also, my mother hates the amount of time I spend on the net so this was sort of a present to her.

Am waiting impatiently for the next installment!

Well done, either way.

I might or might not send it to you soon... I'm not sure if I'm going to use it anymore... I'm not very happy with it, and I don't know if it is consistant with Esmerelda or Sirius's characters.

AW!*pouts* Still, no Sirius is better than bad Sirius.

Sirius/Esmerelda?!

Wow, an OC het ship I could actually not hate. Three suns, people!

sitting on my bed reading and eating far too much chocolate

Is that all I have to do to be a good Christian? I do that all-the-freakin-time! Jesus H. Christ, I thought I was going to hell and now it turns out I'm a regular Ned Flanders!

Another suggestion: Next time Great-Aunt Ellen uses you as a waitress, charge her for the brandy and demand a hefty tip. You will then almost certainly feel the love.

I think you've got the wrong end of the stick here, m'dear! Eating chocolate don't make you no Christian...in fact, it's probably banned, like condoms.

Ellen was almost silent, actually. Must be the nursing home...I think those places are soulless and horrific, but it's done her the world of good.

Jimminy Cricket! I come to your journal and see that, not only have your icon and emoticons changed, but your whole damn layout, as well! Are you trying to give me a coronary?

I am just here because I miss you... I updated my lj today and no one has commented. It is very depressing.

I hope your Catholic Christmas is going well, and that not too many fat noses are involved (that image really stuck with me for some reason).

Okay... well... I'll probably be back tomorrow...

I seriously have to go to bed before I start eating again. See you in a few days!
every Starbucks should have a polar bearscoradh on December 26th, 2004 01:47 pm (UTC)
No, not really...I think the layout is boring, but I'm bored easily and you don't get many options unless you pay!

There were vair vair many fat noses. And nasthy people. But hey, tha's my family. We have a mutual hate going on. Fun!
Caitcoralia13 on December 27th, 2004 02:13 pm (UTC)
:(
Other than the family, was it a good Christmas?

Zee pressies were on the good side, for once. I think, next year, I will go on the Net though. Sad though it may be, it is infinitely more fun than RL.

Oh, and I wrote loads and it was fun. And reading 6 books at once. Haven't done that in ages.

So yeah!
Caitcoralia13 on December 27th, 2004 05:51 pm (UTC)
Good to hear! Wow - six books... you ambitious little cartwheeling hamster, you!
