POSTSECRETPOSTSECRETPOSTSECRET

Darling Iya,

IT CAME. Oh my god but this makes my day. I stepped out of the car this evening (home for the weekend ... yay/meh) and demanded of my father, "Dad, did you buy me something shiny?" and he was all, "Bitch, what?" and my mother said, "That reminds me, a book came for you ..."

Dad was fully convinced that he paid for it, you know. He said he told Mum that he distinctly recalled ordering a book. (If anyone's wondering where the BLATANT INSANITY is inherited from, THERE YOU GO.)

He's been reading out samples ever since, while I tried to explain what Post Secret was to two people whose connection with the internet is limited to, "Rachel, can you check our emails for us?" Including that one about taking the duck to San Fransisco, which, if you'll recall, was where all of this started.

In conclusion, I love you muchly and this is why I must declare it in the most public forum available! Obviously! And am determined to repay this somehow, although anything I can give can't possibly compare to actual monetary outlay on ME. So name it. Art (although why you'd want it I have no idea). Fic -- even OHGOD James/Remus. Even squid!slash. Even ... femmeslash. Anything. Please give me some way of expressing my gratitude, though!

Love, Rachel

Okay, I shouldn't answer this, but I did have a vision of her asking you for narcissistic and heavily characterised Remus/Remus... :D

^_^xx

Right, because Hades obviously HAS zip-codes. Look, in Ireland, if you don't know where you're going you shouldn't be going there. That is also the reason why we eschew such soft options as sign-posts.

NO, YOU NEVER TOLD ME THAT.

I am heart-broken! And I send you boyxboy smut to beta. Why did you not kick up a fuss, my dear?!!

If you mean Tom Marvolo Riddle/Hermione Granger (and I think you do) -- guess what? IT COULD JUST BE POSSIBLE.

IF.

You are okay with it being a side-story to a somewhat larger story that I'm writing at the moment. It would fit right in, I can see it now. It's not quite as acceptable as a story I started from the beginning as a story for you, but it does give the pairing a damn better chance of ever getting written ...

If that scans, do's a favour: GIVE ME A DUE DATE? I seem to work best when I have some kind of deadline looming. Say Easter-ish? Ah, go on.

I have no idea where that came from. We are pretty surly overall. It's Americans and people who are scarily nice.

I'll fall over if I have too much to drink. Am just warning you.

If you're sure. It would have been better to cater to your preference, but I write what I write (sadly).

It's H/D (need you even ask?). It's a very strange, AU sort of thing that I will probably end up asking you to beta anyway. But there's many significant side-pairings and this can now be one of them.

Although I must say, I underestimated the strength of your love for it!

Easter falls: the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring Equinox. (Pub quiz trivia, yo.) MY birthday's falling on Good Friday for the first time in six years.

Your birthday makes you an Aries (just -- I think)! Omg, we so rock. I think I'll make the deadline that (it's my final module exam date, too) but with the other as a fall-back. Thankee! Now, to get cracking on the writing ... and not be enticed by the OC Season Two ...

I have to say, I'm particularly loving the one that said "When my parents think I'm checking my email, I'm actually reading online erotica."

The fact that they called it erotica makes me think they have a livejournal ... because I have done the same thing so many times!

OH, right, I have seen that! Yeah, those are amazing and freaky and moving and heartbreaking. There was one that said, "Everyone I knew before September 11 thinks I'm dead." That one actually made me cry.

I can't count how many of them made me cry. I really am sappy underneath it all.
