Yo yo yo.
I represent.
Whatever the hell that means.
Regard.

My ego likes having its tummy scratched. Care to oblige? Comments directed to 'The Ruler of the Known Universe, Queen Bee, Duchess Wasp and Defender of the Rights of Chocolate-Eaters' will not go astray, I promise you.

In other news: exams passed (whee). Tell me a story. Send me some breath-mints. Whatever.

Oh, man - you DID represent! Go Rachel, it's your birthday, etc., etc. Congratualations, I am so proud! I, of course, always knew you were good, but I'm glad fandom has started to discover it, too! Where is this site, so I can go check it out? And, dude, a Leela Starsky cover image? Was that for you or is it part of the site's art? Either way, you are totally rubbing shoulders with the BNFs.

Also, a BIG congratulations on your exams! And you were so sure you failed, or at least sure in the "I think I failed, but if I actually fail, I will be distraught" way that I am every time I hand in a paper. So, back to school for another year, I take it? ... Sorry - I didn't mean to make you think of sad things. Now is the time to revel!

The Quidditch Pitch. Mind you, it is heavy slash. ;) I don't think that was made specially for me, although the title bit was prolly subbed in all right. Am I total pleb for not recognising the artwork? I still thought it was gorgey, though.

I was totally sure. Even resigned to the fact, to the point where I'd made up new notes for the exam I thought I failed ready for revision! Boy, am I glad I don't have to do blood all over again ... or the cardiovascular system ... shudder. This year I promise to study more!

Going back isn't a bad thought; we do have such a very long time off, and I'm, er, getting a bit bored ... thank god for libraries, that's all I say!

1. No, you are not a pleb - I just watch the comm hp art daily (can't remember if it's all one word, or if there are those little _ things. Lots of it is slash, which you would like, but Leela Starsky is one of the consistently good artists, imho.)

2. Well, then that is DOUBLY awesome that you passed! I am so happy for you! (And very glad you are comfortable about going back, i.e., are not miserable there - 'cause that's no way to be.)

3. Yes, thank god for libraries, though I have yet to take advantage of mine this summer. Thank god also for Netflix and the new movie theater down the road (who'd have thought at town of 7,000 would get its own movie theater? And who'd have thought seeing 'The Lake House' would make me want to have sex with Keanu Reeves?)

Congratulations on both the fic thingy and on passing the exams!

And also, I caught the first incarnation of this post, before it was (I guess) deleted, and I just wanted to say that I remember and like that Draco/Goyle story, no matter how wacky the pairing is. Your best? I don't know, I'm bad at judging things like that. Excellent? For sure. I've only read it twice though because omg sooooooo heartbreaking with only the teensiest bit of hope jammed in there at the end.
every Starbucks should have a polar bear: Lunascoradh on June 20th, 2006 10:18 pm (UTC)
I like fic thingies. I think I should get plenty plenty more. Huzzah!

Yup, deleted. It didn't amuse me enough. I know that sounds flippant, but unless I'm really down I want my entries to be a bit jazzy.

For me, I think it was my best. I wasn't trying as hard as usual, to be funny, to make every second sentance witty. For some reason it didn't err on the side of purple, either. It all spun out so quickly and simply as I wrote it. My latest stuff, although much improved in style and grammar, is lacking in substance (I think).

Although this is not what one should be worrying about in fandom! I must needs go check up on my sockpuppets (of which you are one!).

This pleases me. (Although I still have not been struck with inspiration as to how to finish it, which displeases me. Greatly.)

Okay, I've never had sex on a swing either. I could write it if you like, but I can only imagine quality discomfort from so doing in practice; splinters in unappealing places etc.

Joys of Sex, though, that sounds familiar. No, wait, I'm thinking of the Good Sex Guide, on the bookshelf downstairs (very ugly photo-models, erlack, would put one off sex for life). Does it come in video form? Maybe that's what I'm thinking of.

Vis the last post.

You are, by far, my favourite fandom author. While you are in fact the only fandom I read, this shouldn't belittle this honour. In fact, it should increase it hugely! You make me actually get off my arse and read literature on a computer. Do you know just how fucking rare that is? Get a grip, woman! You're dry, terribly funny and you have an actual grasp of grammar and spelling.

In short, I'm in love with you.

P.S: This is going to you by email, to boot. Punishment for disabling comments!
every Starbucks should have a polar bear: Hadesscoradh on June 24th, 2006 07:59 pm (UTC)
Thank you! I know this should be enough, but I'm so greedy. Like Miss Crawford said about selfishness in Mansfield Park, greed must always be forgiven, because there is no cure ... or at least if not forgiven, there really is no cure.

Still. Thanks. Although 'literature' is, I think, pushing the boat out a bit too far. We all know it's just about the pr0n ...
