once in a lifetime, never to be repeated offer*
* caveat: except when I get bored.

I hit 400 on the friends-of counter there just now (that's some Irish grammar for you, enjoy). I always thought I should do something to mark it, mainly because it seemed so unlikely and in fact it's happened in the last ... fortnight. Okay. Ergo, a poll.

Poll #1035254 crunch time

tell the nice lady what you want her to write, honey

backstory Harry/Ginny (because I'm a masochist)
unspecified Entourage something
unspecified House something
experimental SGA fic all in emails + inspired by Christina Aguilera
other or nothing

The one with the highest score-thing wins.

I get this mild presentiment that someone's going to ask for H/D. This is more likely to happen than fetch, but not by much. I never wrote H/D ficettes. I don't intend to start now, so it'd have to be something meaty and my H/D diet is borderline vegetarian atm.

RLT - sounds like a sandwich, doesn't it - should be along soon. Would have been today, only I had to go shopping to stockpile work clothes for the wards next term. Oasis is frightfully expensive, but I always descend into a lotus-eater trance once inside. I blame the pretty tags. I also pray to god/s the sterling will falls sometime soon so I can stop paying fifty-seven euro for something that's only worth thirty-five pounds. Just a heads-up in case Norma starts ranting about extortionist robe prices or something.

Sure it can. I meant unspecified in the sense that I have no formed idea of what to write for either of those, but if it seems that they're what people want, then they shall have it. And some cake.

teddy/james with harry finding out would be hilarious by you, i think.

Thanks for the bunny! It will come in handy if that option wins. ♥

*STERN* No, shopping is bad. I came out of Oasis down a hundred quid on two items of clothing! The fact that one of them was 100% cotton does nothing to soothe the blow...

I haven't made a comment on your Road Less Traveled fic yet because I'm still thinking about different aspects, hanging by a nail for the next post to see if what I'm thinking about comes up, and all the while loving being carried along by such a wonderful story with such tremendous characters. I love each and every one of them enough to adopt and pay for Wizarding U.... SO, that brings me to this poll and what I want, and that's some Albus/Scorpius. For now they're just kids with ship "foreshadowing" in someone's future. So, yes please very nice lady, could I please have some Albus/Scorpius - say 6th or 7th year, or even, post-Hogwarts?

Thank You!

Hmm, I don't know if I could write actual ASS at the moment without losing my mojo for the current story. I have a pretty firm idea where they're going in this, and it's the only idea I have, so if I use it up there mightn't be anything left for this story.

Still, if it wins I will do my best!
anabellhenryanabellhenry on August 8th, 2007 09:03 pm (UTC)
I understand completely and wouldn't want you to do anything to jeopardize these little boys and girls and their story. Maybe on some rainy day then, some time in the future...

Um ... H/D? :) Sorry, I had to do it. Otherwise I second the above request.

(I'm among those who have friended you recently as I've always enjoyed your fic.)

Why do I get the feeling that if I'd put that in the poll, it would have won? Ha. *iz full of cunning*

Welcome! I'm excessively pleased to hear that. ♥

No ... not of that particular fic, I'm absolutely certain. I do have another one started in my memory stick - the one I mentioned in the poll. Maybe that's where the confusion crept in?

Oh. Sorrysorrysorry.

Don't be insulted! I had you mixed up with someone else on my flist who just discovered SGA and was writing really good fic. Sorrysorry.

Well, I think we both know that a) I voted for my favorite, and, b) my favorite is going to lose. Ah, well. Such is life. I know you'll do whatever wins absolute justice. Even if it doesn't win, however, I'd be really curious to see your interpretation of T/V. I am in love with Fernwithy's first year Teddy fic at the moment, but I'd love to see him older.

Aren't the prices horrific?! And the worst thing is, American shops, like Gap, do the direct exchange rate transfer in the UK, so I paid $50 for a sweater in Oxford that would have cost $25 anywhere in the US. At least they have Primark to make up for it.
...I just argued for slave labor, didn't I?

Oh, right - also congrats on making 400! You are a bit of a legend. I will now have to always speak nostalgically of the days when I knew you back when (back when... you only had 200 friends. Or something.)

I'm rather keen to write T/V, which is why I included it - I really do need the push.

But that's not important because you're back!!! HEY. HOW'S IT HANGING. I take it all is well (heehee) (although you still owe me a long lifestory post!). Come, tell me stories.

I think if we paid to buy what the slaves make what they get paid for making it, we'd be in clover. It's the middlemen who mark up who should be shot.

You'll always be my #1 friends-of. If that helps any.

♥ ♥ ♥
Caitcoralia13 on August 9th, 2007 04:23 pm (UTC)
Write it anyway. I will push you!

I AM back! My Oxford friends have returned to the freshly sunny Mother Country, and I am woefully alone, although only for three more days, and then I head back to university, where I will be working for two weeks before the rest of the students arrive. Then I will REALLY not be alone, but will probably still be posting relatively often.

I completely owe you a massive post, but do you mind if I email it to you? I know it's less special, but I always have my doubts that the privacy settings on LJ are going to hold out. Is the address on your profile a good one to send to?

Re: the hearts and flattery, that helps A LOT. Right on!

Ooh, you must start nearly as early as I do - I'm going back for 27 August, woe.

Oh, sure email it away! offwhitetower@gmail. Actually, I could rant to you forever about how my RL friends treat me as a listening machine - I guess this whole curiosity thing gets the better of me. *sigh* Funny thing is, you're probably the only person who's seen some of every facet of my personality. Weird, huh? Anyway, I'd love to hear of your adventures, and if that makes me nosy, so be it!

Have thee some more: ♥!

If you're going to write het, I'd rather it be Remus/Tonks (I voted for other). Even though it's a sad pairing, I think there's lots of potential there for a great story about what was happening off-screen during DH.
