Wow! This was so intense I even caught my breath when I was reading the last few paragraphs.
Go, Albus!
I wonder what will happen next.

I like Mrs. Malfoy a lot. I always wish I were that socially skilled, but it seems that some abilities are inherited.

The scene between Titania and Albus at the beginning was so funny. Good girl! She did not want Albus to feel left out of the girlfriend business.

Great chapter!

Thank you! I don't know about Mrs Malfoy, she probably is genetically advantaged, but she probably went to a finishing school and stuff. ;D

awwww, I want to give Albus a big squishy hug now.

I hope he says something about Mouse.

Oh, I doubt it. Even under that kind of pressure Albus is no squealer.

He should probably work for the CIA.

GO ALBUS, OMG. *waves pompoms* Eeeeeeee!

"Because," panted Albus, at the end of his tether, "she's a bitch."

Hahaha! Good one. :)

This is the best installment yet! This: "Because," panted Albus, at the end of his tether, "she's a bitch." was pure gold!

Thanks so much for sharing this with us. I loved it.

I am ashamed. I've been reading this since part 1, and this is the first time I comment! Damn my sloth-like tendencies! But I'm doing it now, and I will completely go back and comment on previous chapters :)

Love, love, LOVED this chapter! Finally, someone speaks up about Rose's outright bitchiness! All that's left now is for someone to give her a good slap upside the head and we're done! Something to look forward to next chapter...

Albus and Scorpius...*sigh*. I continue to fall in love with them. Scorpius getting all protective, Albus speaking his mind (I think this justifies a collective, 'you go girl!'). God bless them both ;)

The only thing that I'm not overly thrilled about is the characterisation of the Trio and Ginny. Harry and Ginny, smoothing down hair and covering themselves with make-up? They both looked stiff and unnatural. It just seems so unlike them. And none of them seem to be particularly good parents. But, of course, this is just my humble opinion. You're free to characterise them any way you like!

Anyways, all in all, I just wanted to give you a personal YAY! for the beautiful story!

I have to provide you with the caveat lector - just because the majority of readers of the HP books like the Trio, doesn't mean they're perfect people. You're supposed to like them because JK does; that's not the same as them being innately likable. And by good parents, what do you mean? These guys aren't physically or verbally abusive, they provide exceptionally well for their children and they have a stable home environment. Aside from the quirks of their personality that will certainly not be abandoned or negated simply because they've reproduced, I think they're as good a bunch of parents as any.

As for the rest, I'm glad you liked it. And don't worry about not commenting. It's nice for me, of course, but the main thing is that people read it, give it a chance, and hopefully like some of it.

Go Albus! I would really like to see what Hermione thinks of her daughter's behaviour. *g* Also, I really like Mrs. Malfoy, she is most cool.

And I very much like the poem in the beginning. Most appropriate. :)
every Starbucks should have a polar bearscoradh on August 20th, 2007 03:18 pm (UTC)
I have no idea why so many people are interested in Hermione's reaction. I'm not interested in the slightest in her reaction. Plus, I characterise her extremely badly in general. Still, the people have spoken. Later, they will complain.

I love that poem a lot. I'm far more interested in Mrs Malfoy's reactions to things, too...

I'll pass on the message.

What - crying? As far as her parents know, her reaction is justified. I'd be black in blue in your family if so, because I cry at the drop of a hat.

Plus, Hermione's the most obnoxious character in the books; and despite all I've said about children not having to be the exact replica of their parents, if Rose inherited one thing from her mother I'd bet most on that being it.

AHAHAHAH Oh, Albus, you're so not old enough to shout that in public and get away with it. :D Excellent chapter, as usual.

Yay! I think I liked every part of this chapter and I can see where it fits in with the little piece of poem you included. Harry and Draco's interaction was hilarious and totally IC. I'm glad you noted Ginny's snobbery where Luna is concerned because in canon Ginny definitely does patronize her. And that she and Mrs. Malfoy (where did Draco find her? I bet she's been good for him, she seems very level-headed) totally bonded over said snobbery was an excellent touch.

Albus's saying Rose was a bitch was classic. I like that Scorpius is able to say whatever he wants when it's to another kid but freezes up the moment adults show up (like Draco), while Albus seems to have inherited Harry's tendency to say what he wants to say no matter who he's speaking to. I liked Scorpius's creativity and his desire to be a part of something rather than the boss of it, since that's not like Draco at all. And the way you showed Albus having total compassion and empathy for people who'd been absolutely horrible to him seemed genuine and like something completely his, not something he'd have inherited from his mother or father. And of course the scene with Snape and Dumbledore was great. Really, I liked everything. Can't wait for the next part!

I agree with your take on Ginny. I think her faults are numerous, but I'm prepared to let her have Serena Malfoy for a friend in spite of it (I don't think I ever read Ginny as being prejudiced against the family, just Draco).

Thank you! Your compliments are amazingly great. :D

I reread parts of the chapter again. Was Rose beaten in terms of grades by Rambo and Scorpius? Was it what D.Malfoy meant? Cool if so!
Go Rambo!
I am curious how Dudley copes with his son being a wizard? May be Dudley was always jealous of Harry and now he can be satisfied with his son?

I hope Albus will get to visit Rambo at his home or vice verse. It would be interesting.
every Starbucks should have a polar bearscoradh on August 20th, 2007 03:24 pm (UTC)
Yup. Rambo came top of his class. All that extra research came in handy!

Don't worry, I'll chart Dudley's reactions in person.
Tani: amitani on August 15th, 2007 10:49 pm (UTC)
Somehow, I'm horribly amused by all the parents acting just the same as they did in school. On the one hand, yeah, it's a little strange to suddenly be looking at them from a kid's perspective. On the other, it makes me snicker like you wouldn't believe. ^-^

Needless to say, like everyone else, I loved Albus' last line. I do feel a bit bad for Rose; it's always painful to hear something like that so bluntly. The line, however, remains perfect.

Other random love to Morse and Titania, just 'cuz they're so cool.

Thank you! Finally, some sympathy for Rose.

Morse/Titania. Interesting. ♥
