Delicious! I can't believe I spent my whole afternoon reading this, but .. there it is. And I love it! That epilogue to DH really rubbed me the wrong way, but your story would never have existed without that set-up, so I guess it's for the best ;) And I love your Albus, your Scorpius, and Rambo of course is fantastic. What a great touch.

Anyway, thanks for writing this. I know it always feels nice to get a comment on one's writing that basically just squees and flails, so here's another.

*squee* *flail* :)

Hear that sound?

... it's my ego, purring.

Thank you! ♥

"Well, yeah. People say it happens before you..." Oh, so that's why - ...wait. :mild panic:

I don't suppose you'd believe the apprehension I was feeling until Scorpius showed up, would you?

"Did the other Ghosts explain the situation to you?" Panic has returned. You're not actually going to kill him, are you? I'll seriously cry if you do.

You're on the way back out. Cue sigh of relief, because I am really that pathetic. And aw, James is...still being James, but he's learned something!

The ending was interesting and sweet and hey! Looks like you've got a fan and ten reviews.

I noticed. *amused* The play-by-play was funny, too. I don't kill story people. Much.

No, thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. Incidentally, I went to crack_van because you mentioned it, and found a fun Pride and Prejudice fic ... which is not something you come across every day. So that was awesome.

This is absolutely fantastic. I felt sympathetic towards a whole slew of characters I don't normally feel sympathy for, and I have to say that Dudley was awesome. The Scamander-Lovegood family was equally awesome, and Albus and Severus are wonderful beyond description.

La la la, told you I was gonna comment on every chapter.

"Believe me; you have no idea of the depths to which your own mind will stoop."
Where would we be without a drop of Snape-esque wisdom.

Your Bleak House allusion = me slayed at your feet. This whole Dickensian chapter is ... rather unexpected and cracky. I think I might like it. But no, I won't ask.

On to Three Steps Back! Thank goodness for rec lists or I'd never know it existed.

I'm used to review-commenting at the last chappies for non-WIP works, so please don't mind me popping up only at the end. '_'"

I was impressed and surprised by your characterisation of the next-gen kids - especially for the Potter brother and Rose - and the world-building. This is my first time reading of a deathly ill (for he did almost die) Albus and a different (rather Xenophilius-y) Draco Malfoy. It took me a while to realise that you were writing with mostly just the DH-19 years later in mind and a little more longer to adjust to having no Astoria Greengrass, Lorcan and Lysander. But it was well worth it, since I loved the new characters you'd created in their place - Morse and Rambo. Whatever that'd gone on between Scorpius and Albus was awesome, intense and realistic without all the melodrama.

I'll say The Road Less Travelled's now one of my favourite-st AS/S fics, topping even the non-PG ones. XD Thank you for writing!

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm afraid I don't know who Lorcan and Lysander are, which is why they're not mentioned.

This is a lovely story. I adore the friendship pieces and how Al and Scorpius grew closer. I feel bad for Al's condition btw. Overall, thank you for sharing!

This was such an awesome ride. I feel like kicking myself for not reading it when it first came out, but back then I was squeamish about next-gen fic, considering the material there was to go by was even lesser than current-gen fic. Also, I feared that reading AS/S would mean I had to give up my OTP of H/D.

But reading this -- and I feel I could read another 50k of this universe (you wrote 48,265 words, going by your wordcount) -- totally made me feel like I was reading the next-gen HP book. I loved the way little details were uncovered slowly throughout the fic (such as the fact that Scorpius was left-handed!), how their friendship grew gradually, how old characters were brought back and given an entirely believable incarnation in a 19-years-later fic, even the passage of time was believable (e.g. the fact that Celestina Warbeck had been passed over for newer, more raw and 'cool' bands like Hexed).

There is a sequel, isn't there. I am definitely going to sink my teeth into that tonight :) Thank you for such an amazing read.
