Only 'cause you're gorgeous

From furiosity's jay : I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me -- something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about.

Then post this in your LJ and find out what people don't know about you.

I mean, I'm an imaginary chain-smoker, I live in the soggiest country in the world and, while not yet twenty, have proposed marriage to about five or six people, all of whom I note are female. *blows out a smoke ring* Aside from that, I can't imagine anything else remotely interesting about me, but all the same I'll put it out there. *crunches lollipop, and she works in a dental surgery, too, tsk*

*wrinkles nose* That's quite a difficult question! I'm only half-Irish, but I spent most of my growing-up years here so I reckon I "think" Irish without the benefits of Irish patriotism. :)

Like most Irish people, I think this is pretty much a grubby, underdeveloped little country with not much to say for itself and that spends most of its time in the past, because that's a lot easier than dealing with the future. Then, if it's insulted, I'd close ranks. Hard to say. It's kind of fun, though, living in a country that, to my mind, bears a hell of a lot of resemblance to Ankh-Morpork. In that case, I'm a bit of a Sam Vimes.

What sort of music do you listen to?
Boring question, yes, but I really have no idea.

Not really, music is vair important to me! Um, I'm not sure how you'd define it, but I suppose punk and indie rock? To put it an easier way, my favourite artists are, in no order, Green Day, Weezer, Blink 182, Alanis Morisette, Snow Patrol, the Frames, Franz Ferdinand and prolly Athlete, I reckon, although I'll have to wait and get their album before I decide. :)

What colour hair do you have? I'm sure I should know that, and I so don't.

Hee, well. When I was a childer, I had pure blonde hair. Then it turned mousy as I grew up. *pout* Since then, I kept it highlighted for a few years, then recently it's been dyed a sort of red-chestnut. I had no say in this, you understand, my hairdresser pwns me. It's pretty near your colour actually. :)

God, that memory is so clear to me. I'd just finished reading OotP and had that terrible empty feeling of bereavement that comes from finishing a book that I got really involved in. We'd only just got hooked up to internets so, having hardly any idea how to work it really, I typed Harry Potter into Google. I got some sites talking about the book, then one Yahoo article on -- what else? -- fanfiction. To be specific, the phenomenon of hardcore Snarry slash fanfiction. There was a quote from some porn story that, by now, I've probably read ... something about bending Harry over a desk?! The article had a link to FA. My decision not to read anything over G under any circumstances lasted oh, a day. xD

Which would you rather have someone playing outside your window at four in the morning, a tuba or a bagpipe?

(Seriously. This is a very important question. There are two types of people in the world. Tuba people and bagpipe people. Which one are you?
every Starbucks should have a polar bearscoradh on June 26th, 2005 04:24 am (UTC)
I once read that the Queen is serenaded by bagpipes every morning when she's in Och-Aye Land. Having delusions of grandeur, I think I'll go for the bagpipes too.

Plus, as it said in A Very Long Engagement, the tuba is the only instrument that can ... cry, is it, or play an obituary?

*is anxious* What does that make me, then?

Er...favorite movie/movies? (lame, I know - the above questions covered a lot of good stuff).

Not at all! *g* I don't have many favourite films mainly because I don't watch the box much, but as far as they go ... Anna and the King, Life as a House, Shakespeare in Love. That's about it, really.

HRMMM . . . see, I really don't know what to ask, as obviously I know everything about you already . . .

If you could write anything and be assured of its instant publishing and success, no matter the subject matter or format (like book or article or whatever), what would you write?

*g*

Definitely a fantasy novel. The idea of having my own world appeals to my megalomanic tendencies. *wink*

Lettuce. If forced at gunpoint.

OMFG CATS FOREVER!! One picture of a paw will reduce me to a squeeing heap of flesh; the one thing that'll do it. :)))
