Bring your own Drabble Partay
As of this month, my live journal turns two. On the twenty-second, to be precise, but I never am -- thus explaining why I failed third module Phys on a question that asked me to draw every single absorption mechanism in the lumen and the basal membrane of the pancreas. (Bitter? Who, me?)

The usual mode of celebration for such an event is throwing a Drabble Party, and I am nothing if not a sheep. However, last year I would not have dared to do such a thing (even if I wasn't stuck in the wilds of Australia, in a vast and internetless waste). In recent times, though, people have started friending me for my fic -- they came right out and said 'I friended you because of your fic,' so that is how I know. This suggests to me that at least some proportion of my flist isn't going to cringe and skip by when they see this post.

For the next part, the ball is in your court. Drabble Parties are a little like paint parties, in the sense that the guests are expected to work for their fun. And like someone with a freshly painted wall, I'm going to get more out of it than you, because I'll get to practice. This is why I'm laying myself open to any suggestions. Any at all. Just provide me with a prompt and a pairing, and I'm your man. Only not, because my X chromosomes PWN.

As my supplies of inspiration are not even close to limitless, I decided earlier to cap this post at the first ten requests. Cue me looking like a right tosser when I get three, or even less, but if I'm not used to it by now …

The definition of a drabble is one hundred words, but there's no way I could confine myself to that even had I wanted to. The ten lucky winners (heh) will get snippets of stories. But I didn't want to call it a Snippet Party. Too many bad associations with hair or those very small dogs.

Ooh, I have never done this before. Feel free to ignore me if mine suck. :-)

Charlie/Draco, flames.

Or -- Harry/Ron, one of Hermione's books.

Well...since Ron/Draco is so popular( who would have thought?OO)what about a bit of Harry/George?
Coz, like, it's totally unfair you hooked me to the pairing with MCN and now there isn't ANY other fics of them :P

Seeing that someone already requested Harry/George, can I have Remus/James? Because I know how much you'll hate doing that. :P

Erm, so, Remus/James, eating marshmallows. *is pervy* And definitely with the slash; no icky gen now. If that really kills you, then I will settle for Sirius/James. *put-upon sigh*

Happy lj birthday! ♥

Also, drabbles? Fantastic. H/D is all I'm certain of. My brain has bounced from milkshakes, which is what I'm drinking, to Pictionary, which is looking tantalizing but also Muggle, to swords, 'cause that'd be hot. Um. There's always the Quibbler?

I friended you for your fic, in case you didn't know--although I am growing to enjoy reading your life and thoughts, as well.

And fie upon the one day I didn't check my LJ at lunch and missed this chance!

Damn - this is all slash! My job made me too slow to respond. Thank God only a three hour meeting tonight, instead of four!

Anyway, since I was too late to miss out on the fun (read: tormenting you, because you know I would have picked Firefly het, probably Simon/Kaylee, which is where my head is these days), happy LJ birthday my love! I am so glad to have found you!
